Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment. Weigh resins, colorants and other chemicals according to formulae. Monitor and inspect quality of material produced. Unload mixture into container or conveyor for further processing. Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die. Organize and maintain inventory. Adjust processing machines and equipment. Take samples. Start up, shut down and troubleshoot equipment. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Clean and maintain work space. Record production information. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Manual dexterity. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Organized. Reliability. Team player.
