*Teach Me My Way Services* is a multi-disciplinary children?s centre supporting children with autism and their families. The team consists of the owner/director, Registered Behaviour Analyst/Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, Speech-Language Pathologist (consulting), and Supervised Therapy Assistants (Communicative Disorders Assistants and Instructor Therapists).
At Teach Me My Way Services, our primary focus is to determine each child's unique learning style in order to design an individual plan for their growth and development. The successful candidate will have the same passion and drive to think outside the box to provide optimal learning during one to one and small group intervention.
*Job Description:*
The *Speech Language Pathologist *will be responsible for conducting assessments and supervising the implementation of programming for children and adolescents with various speech, language, and communication delays. A successful candidate will have a strong background working as a team member. The SLP will be expected to collaborate with the RBA/BCBA and community partners, providing their expertise in speech and language to generate an individualized program for each child.
*Duties and Skills*
* assess, develop, and implement treatment plans
* supervise therapists to ensure the fidelity of the treatment plan
* review each client's programming and outcomes regularly and problem-solve when aims are not being met
* mentor students on practicum placements
_Successful Candidates will also have:_
* experience working with children and youth with autism
* experience and familiarity with Augmentative Communication
* experience and the passion to work as an active team member with the RBA (Ont.) and consulting professionals in order to help create an individualized treatment plan for each client
* an up-to-date Criminal Records check with Vulnerable Persons within 30 days of being offered the position.
* a valid registration number with CASLPO
* reliable transportation to commute between Teach Me My Way Centers (Hamilton and Mississauga) and client homes
Travel: The successful candidate should be willing and available to travel between Teach Me My Way Services centres for meetings and in-person consultations (Hamilton and Mississauga), along with client homes in the Hamilton district. Travel time is paid.
Caseload: Full caseload is ready for the successful candidate.
