*SUMMARY*
Reporting to the Senior Project Managers, the Project Manager effectively plans, directs, manages, and provides oversight of assigned design and construction projects to ensure that the company and project(s) goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed schedule and budget parameters.
Effectively communicates and provides strong leadership with clients, consultants, field staff, technical staff, contractors, and management. Also responsible for the internal and external coordination and collaboration with project partners and stakeholders. The position requires considerable judgment and latitude in performing job duties and is expected to function effectively with minimal to moderate direct supervision.
*STRATEGIC ROLES AND RESPONSABILITIES*
1. Deliver the projects in a safe, timely, profitable manner while maintaining the highest level of quality in the industry.
2. Provide strong leadership and management to your team in meeting or exceeding the company?s yearly business plan objectives.
3. Assist the Senior Project Managers in the recruitment and hiring of all construction staff to develop and maintain the best team in the industry with retention strength.
4. Work closely with the company?s or the client?s Development and Sales & Marketing team to ensure a team approach to project delivery.
5. Work closely with the Customer Care group and ensure that all units are delivered as per business plan deficiency targets.
6. Manage and model site safety having zero tolerance for dangerous safety infractions at all times as well as manage and liaise with WSBC officers.
7. Adhere to all company policies concerning overtime, vacation, and procedures that are in place or may be issued from time to time by the Director of Construction.
8. Contribute to a culture of improvement by actively participating in Quality Assurance Meetings, developing and better/more effective ways to deliver the same quality with less cost.
9. Ensure all aspects of your construction management are completed with the highest standard of integrity and ethics as it relates to the company?s core values and purpose.
10. Attend and actively participate in partnering sessions with contractors, agencies, and organizations to obtain feedback on company performance and effectiveness, represent company needs, and develop strong working relationships throughout the industry.
*SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:*
*Construction Management ? Pre-construction*
1. For the pre-construction period, the Project Manager will assist in the design meetings as required by the client with the full design team.
2. Participate in and/or lead project evaluation and consultant selection for applicable procurements.
3. As the project consultants progress with the preparation of the construction documents, prepare with the company?s estimating team, accurate cost estimates and budgets with increased detail as the drawings evolve.
4. Complete reviews of all materials and methods by providing detailed constructability reviews and alternative design concepts of the project documents. An emphasis on value engineering and cost savings will be a major focus duri
