*OVERVIEW*
The Bookkeeper/Manager is responsible for all essential daily operations and financial duties, such as recording financial transactions, processing payroll, creating and administering bookkeeping policies and procedures, preparing financial statements, assisting with creating budgets and quarterly reports in appropriate accounting software and/or manual systems, and preparing local, provincial and/or federal reporting as required. Work closely with both Executive Director, Auditors and Board of Directors as required.
*QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE*
· College diploma in accounting, finance or related field, Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting and Office Management.
· CPA is a plus.
· Previous experience in working with both manual and computerized Bookkeeping systems.
· Experience in working with cash transactions both cash-based and electronic systems.
· Acceptable attainment and maintenance of a Police Information check with a Vulnerable Sector Check.
· Valid Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle and proof of insurance.
· Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office, Accounting systems, electronic banking.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
· Maintain financial transaction records by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance.
· Develop a chart of accounts that defines bookkeeping policies and procedures.
· Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
· Prepare financial statements, such as ledgers, income statements, and balance sheets.
· Utilize the appropriate accounting software to manage and automate financial tasks when relevant.
· Assist with creating budgets, financial forecasts, and quarterly reports.
· Collect, analyze, and summarize data for tax forms according to local and federal mandates.
· Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of clients.
· Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
· Ensure timely processing of payroll.
· Contribute and monitor team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
*HOURS OF WORK*
· Flexible hours of work or as assigned.
· Up to 30 hours per week or as required and agreed to.
*REPORTING STRUCTURE*
· This position reports to the Executive Director.
· Indirectly to the Board of Directors.
*LEGISLATION COMPLIANCE REQUIRMENTS*
The incumbent in this position is required to understand and comply with:

· WHMIS applicable to the workplace.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 ? 30 per week
