We are currently looking for an *Assistant Warehouse Manager* to join our team. Working out of our warehouse in Mississauga, you will contribute in building our team to help ensure our products get to our stores and customers in the most efficient and responsible way. *Assistant Warehouse Manager*
*Primary Focus*
To assist the Warehouse Manager in managing the Warehouse/Distribution facility by coordinating the efforts of the Warehouse team and implementing operational business plans that meet all regulatory requirements, while ensuring that customer needs are met and revenue targets are met or exceeded.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS*
· Minimum Post Secondary graduation in Business Related studies
· At least 5-years experience in a related role and environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role;
· Certified to operate equipment such as, but not limited to, Power Lift equipment: Raymond Reach Truck experience ;
· Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) specifically, ShipHawk;
· Knowledge of LEAN working principles;
· Excellent knowledge of Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing processes
· Excellent ability to multi-task with good organizational and prioritization skills;
· Excellent ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment which may include shift changes and product variation;
· Good level of tact and diplomacy re: dealing with Customer Service issues;
· Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
· Ability to work under moderate pressure to meet tight deadlines imposed by circumstances beyond own control.
· Team player able to relate with all levels of staff

*I. MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (60%)*
*In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager:*
* manages the activities of all direct and indirect reports, to ensure the timely achievement of departmental goals and Key Performance Indicators within prescribed policies, procedures and standard business practices, while maintaining a team-oriented environment;
ii. liaises with Customer Service and other departmental managers to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner; escalates issues outside own area of expertise and authority to the Warehouse Manager;
* recommends changes in staffing levels on a permanent and seasonal basis in order to ensure adequate staffing resources to meet the workload;
* schedules staff effectively in order to meet work flow demands, while optimizing salary budget;
* provides regular feedback in the form of departmental meetings, objective setting sessions, performance appraisals, coaching and counseling, discipline, training;
* provides regular motivation and mentoring to all staff to encourage on-going professional development for succession planning purposes;
* recommends the hiring and/or termination of all direct and indirect reports, in accordance with prescribed policies, procedures and legislative requirements;
* implements and oversees all Health & Safety policie
