Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Professionalism in customer service. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. DZ class license. Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dry bulk. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Truck or equipment experience: Snowplough. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Vehicle and equipment experience: De-icing sprayers. Area of work experience: Snow removal. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Large workload. Physically demanding. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
