Job details
Education: Master's degree. Tasks: Conduct audiometric tests and examinations. Conduct speech-language tests and examinations. Develop new audiometric tests and examinations. Diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders. Follow up with patients to ensure assigned remedial programs are correctly followed and completed. Develop, plan and implement remedial programs to correct speech, voice, language, resonance, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders. Provide advice and educational services to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders. Establish personalized care plans working as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Plan and implement habilitation/rehabilitation programs. Provide information to patients and families regarding the nature, extent, impact and implications of hearing loss and treatment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists Certification. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Outlook. MS Word. Security and safety: Vulnerable sector check. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
