Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Confined spaces. Wet/damp. Odours. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Non-smoking. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Budding trees. Clean the crops. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Cut horticultural crops. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Greenhouse cleaning. Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions. Hand harvesting vegetables. Harvest seedlings. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Tie and secure plants. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Mix and prepare soils. Plant bulbs and seeds. Pot and re-pot plants. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Apply fertilizers. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Assist in grafting activities. Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean work area. Type of product: Deciduous trees. Native plants. Berry bushes. Cut flowers.
