Singleton Education Centre<p>Work Schedule:35 hours/week, 12 months/year<p>Effective Date:As Soon as Possible to May 31, 2025 (with strong possibility of <p>contract-to-permanent)Position Summary:<p>Reporting to the Superintendent of Human Resources, the position serves as a key member of the Human Resources management and leadership team. The position is responsible for leading the staffing and recruiting team in the delivery of the Boards talent acquisition and staffing processes. This position develops proactive strategies and builds collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop a talent pool that meets the current and projected needs of the Board. <p>This position is responsible for the development of all staffing, recruiting and employee onboarding functions, plans, strategies, business processes and workflows that are in place for all employee groups, meeting all contractual and legislative requirements.<p>The HDSB recently introduced a Work from Home Administrative Procedure. In accordance with this Administrative Procedure and with the approval of the immediate supervisor, employees who work at HDSB administrative sites may work from home for up to 50% of their regularly scheduled hours. Work from Home arrangements may change based on the future needs of the Board. The HDSB offers funding for professional development in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for management and administration support staff. <p>Key Responsibilities: Forecasts staffing needs and develops and implements corporate recruitment strategies to attract and engage quality candidates. Aligns recruitment practices and strategies with the Boards Multi-Year Plan objectives and regional and provincial labour trends and challenges.<p> Leads a team of five Staffing & Recruiting Officers<p> Forecasts, develops, implements and maintains the Boards staffing and recruitment processes and operations ensuring: <p> compliance with collective agreements and all relevant labour and employment legislation and regulations.<p> high-level of service to staff and hiring managers and the ability to attract and manage a large applicant pool.<p> service optimization by implementing and/or refining processes and implementing technology where possible. <p> Leads the development, analysis and implementation of onboarding and orientation strategies for new staff. Incorporates new technology, resource information and communications strategies to enable new employees to effectively navigate Board resources.<p> Advises senior administration/managers/principals/supervisors on the staffing and recruitment processes and operations as outlined in the respective collective agreements/terms and conditions of employment and Board administrative policies/procedures.<p> Leads the development of interview guides, questions and assessment tools and trains hiring managers on effective, objective and equitable interviewing and recruitment practices.<p> Manages a centralized student teacher practicum placement process maximizing leadership opportunities for HDSB teachers and increasing the number of HDSB student teachers who complete their teaching practicums in Halton resulting in: <p> positive relationships with student teachers;<p> ready talent pool of HDSB trained teachers upon graduation. <p> In collaboration with the School Programs team, oversees the development, accreditation and implementation of advanced teacher qualification courses to build staff capacity<p> Serve as HDSB Registrar for OCT AQ program(s);<p> Lead the HDSBs Teacher Educat
