Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Asset languages: Inuktitut. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Staff accommodation provided. Room and board provided. Various locations. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Service attachments and working tools. Verify and repair emission control systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Automotive Service Licence (310S). Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T). Diesel engine repair specialization: Fuel injection system. Exhaust system. Cooling system. Air conditioning system. Lubrication system. Engine control system. Major internal engine repairs or overhaul. Powered equipment repair specialization: Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Electric generators. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Mechanical transmissions. Hydraulic transmissions. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required.
