This role involves monitoring security events, responding to incidents, and collaborating with teams to design secure solutions. The Security Specialist also plays a key role in maintaining compliance with security regulations and frameworks.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures to protect organizational assets;Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA);Manage access control systems, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools to prevent unauthorized access;Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify risks and vulnerabilities;Provide training and awareness programs to staff on security best practices;Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend preventive measures to keep systems secure; and,Support incident response efforts and contribute to forensic analysis after breaches to identify root causes and prevent recurrenceQualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field3+ years of experience in cybersecurity rolesHands-on experience managing firewalls, access control systems, and security monitoring toolsKnowledge of security regulations and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA)Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and endpoint protectionIndustry certifications like CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are preferredStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical staffMake Your Mark at BOYNECLARKE LLPHere, you won't just find a job?you'll find a career and a community.
