We are seeking a skilled Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring their rights are protected and advocating on their behalf. This role provides a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work closely with our team of lawyers, legal support staff and our accounting department to grow within the organization.
GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-10 years' experience
* A strong work ethic
* Entrepreneurial spirit and good business instincts
* Sound judgement and analytical skills
* Excellent advocacy skills
* Be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
* Ability to work mainly in our new Hagersville location
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5-10 years of experience in solicitor work ? Wills, Real Estate, Probate
* Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple shifting demands
* The ability to be flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the job
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills when dealing with lawyers, clients, staff and third parties including a positive telephone presence;
* Well versed in Conveyancing Software, Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel, Unity
* Handle the pressures of working in a fast-paced environment, including balancing deliverables from multiple individuals with varying levels of importance and urgency & be able to meet strict deadlines;
* Ability to multi-task and problem solve with limited supervision;
* Remarkable teamwork & organizational skills are essential in this role; and
* Any language skills (verbal) considered to be an asset.
