Assignment: Part-time 0.70 Educational Assistantposition Duties to commence October 15, 2024 and continue for the remainder of the 2024/2025school year To provide support and assistance to diverse students in a grade 4-6 classroom setting. Qualifications and/or Assets: Experience working with students with complex academic and behavioral needsExperience assisting students with Type 1 Diabetes would be considered an asset Understanding of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit foundational knowledge Evidence of a personal commitment to Truth and Reconciliation Training and experience with UFLI would be considered an asset Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality Knowledge, understanding and experience with ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and behavioral needs would be considered an asset Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented collaborative learning environment Flexibility to work in a variety of programs Application: *Applications for this employment opportunity are preferred via email.
