*Job Summary* We are seeking a part-time dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work with a single elderly client post-stroke. The ideal candidate will work to deliver the care plan of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to help this patient improve their ability to perform daily activities. *Responsibilities* * Assist in the implementation of an individualized treatment plan as directed by the Occupational Therapist. * Conduct therapy sessions with a patient, focusing on enhancing their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities. * Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate patient progress. * Monitor patient responses to treatment and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. * Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions in compliance with regulatory standards. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. * * *Qualifications* * Must hold a valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. * Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. * Experience or familiarity with geriatric patients and patients with stroke * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. * Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in practice. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 per week Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationOakville, ON
