The Board maintains a roster of temporary/casual staff for assignment to cover employee absences. Supply staff are assigned from a pool on an as-needed basis.<p>The primary function of this position is to provide assistance to students in the areas of spiritual, education, social, behavioural and physical needs. The position will often require heavy lifting. <p>Special programs encountered in the classroom include, but are not limited to:<p><p> Autism<p> Behavioural<p> Speech<p> Hearing (sign language)<p> Learning disabilities<p> Developmentally delayed<p> Multiple handicapped<p> Multiple Exceptionalities<p><p>All interested applicants are welcome to apply. We are an inclusive employer. <p>Requirements <p><p> Educational Support Diploma or related field of study.<p> A minimum of one (1) year working experience with individuals with special needs or equivalent (e.g., providing care for family members with special needs, etc.) <p> Ability to perform multiple activities without assistance including but not limited to; walking / standing for long periods of time, pushing / pulling up to 65kg, frequent reaching, bending, kneeling movements, etc.<p> Pastoral Reference Letter from a Roman Catholic Parish, indicating you are a practicing Roman Catholic (dated within the past 12 months), or a Baptismal Certificate from a Roman Catholic Church. (Note that a positive pastoral reference will be required to be considered for a permanent position).<p> Resume and Cover Letter addressed to the Sr. Manager of Recruitment, Human Resources.<p><p>The daily rate of pay is $165.53.
