Job Location: Carman, MBPosition Type: Full TimeStart Date: Immediate Come join us to learn all aspects of grain merchandising!  This trainee program focuses on recent graduates interested in the fast-paced and dynamic commodity merchandising career. The person chosen will receive hands-on experience in all aspects of grain merchandising with the goal of eventually managing their own commodities. Your job duties will include:• Procure grain and commodities from farmers and other suppliers in the local area and maintain excellent relationships. • Assisting Quality Assurance personnel with incoming and outgoing grain scaling and grading. • Assist Merchants with managing truck, rail and container logistics for the company and negotiate pricing. • Learn from our seasoned merchants as well as enroll in our grain merchandising course that will teach you about hedging, spreads, basis trading and arbitrage. • Analyze markets from both a fundamental and technical analysis standpoint and send information to customers. • Organize, prepare and present commodity price statistics. • Visit customers and attend trade shows and conventions and network with others in the industry. Education and Qualification RequirementsUniversity diploma or degree in Agri-Business, Agricultural Economics or Business/Commerce.  Computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office based working environment. Interested in joining our Team?
