Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Residential. Tasks: Prepare production and other reports. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Oversee apprenticeship training. Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions. Train or arrange for training. Prepare bids. Manage own company. Estimate costs and materials. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Set up equipment. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Recommend personnel actions. Establish methods to meet work schedules. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition materials and supplies. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Overtime required. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Judgement. Reliability.
