We are a growing organization and currently looking for a __*Industrial Engineer *__to join our winning team and help lead our business grow and improve._ *Job Summary Statement:* As Industrial Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement culture across all our warehouse operations. You will initiate and drive execution of projects related to standardizing best practices and reducing cost, increasing overall efficiency as well as improving the utilization of all our assets. *Essential Functions & Responsibilities:* * Gather and analyze operations and financial data for business case development, Key Performance Indicators (KPI?s) and/or forecast expected results of process changes. * Assist with warehouse engineering such as product slotting, warehouse MHE solutions, studying labor standards (time studies), warehouse layouts and optimization of flow, headcount rationalization and forecasting, WMS functionality. * Participate in conceptual process designs and develop management communication presentations that support solution design and vendor selection. * Work on-site and remotely during project stages, system installation, user acceptance testing, go live support, modifications, and maintenance. * Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. * Support the design and implementation of warehouse automation to increase building capacity and improve efficiency. * Lead and facilitate user training and SOP creation / modification where necessary. * Monitor and measure the benefits of post process implementation to ensure product quality, efficiency, and improvement. * Assist in the continuous improvement of departmental engineering methods. * Perform other related duties as assigned to support company objectives. *Experience, Skills & Competencies:* * Post-secondary education in Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years? experience in a distribution or warehousing environment and technical experience working with supply chain products/systems including WMS, TMS, OMS, WCS, and ERP. * Proficiency with MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of MS Excel. MS Project and Visio skills an asset. * Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, YMS & WCS systems, Voice Picking, RF, and barcode technologies. * Experience working with teams, training and mentoring associates at different levels and working with cross functional departments. * Experience with data analysis, process improvement projects, and workflow analysis. * Experience with slotting optimization and warehouse layout designs. * Experience in using AutoCad software or similar to design and proposed solutions. * Experience in implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Green Belt Certification an asset * *Must be able to travel to warehouses across Brantford and to GTA (25% of time).* * Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support warehouse schedule (evenings, night and weekends as needed). * Knowledge of safety standards * Self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills. * Fully capable of working in varying temperatures. Temperatures may range anywhere from 2°C to 15°C in most company warehouses while Cold Storage buildings may range from 0°C to -30°C. * Experience in design, implementation or operation of warehouse automation solutions ? goods to person (GTP) and order fulfillment. * Experience in development and implementation of Labour Management System * Must have strong oral & written communication skills with experience presenting complex ideas clearly, manage the complexities of integrating new processes and influencing individuals across business boundaries to achieve objectives. * Experience in Supply Chain processes in distribution, warehousing, and transportation with an aptitude to learn new processes and systems. _*Brimich is committed to diversity and inclusivity in our employment practices.
