We are focused on hiring only those exceptional individuals who value safety in the workplace and remain committed to the collective goal of maintaining our Aecon ?zero injury? culture. *PURPOSE OF THE POSITION* Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Utility Locator will use advanced geophysical tools such as EMI and SPR for precise subsurface imaging in assigned areas to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. achieves their general and specific project requirements. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with project teams to locate and map underground utilities, ensuring safety and accuracy. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Use of geophysical equipment, including EMI and GPR, to provide accurate subsurface imagining * Verify, identify public and private utility mains and other services * Ensure all sites are clearly labelled *KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS* * Minimum of 3 years? experience as a Utility Locator * Knowledge of geophysical surveys, land surveying or geomatics * Strong computer stills, expertise in GPS is an asset * Registration with ASTTBC as Registered Underground Utility Locator Technician (RULT) is an asset * Must have a strong understanding of safety procedures and policies on an industrial job site *PHYSICAL DEMANDS* * Repetitive movement * Able to perform in a fast-paced environment * Continuously changing work tasks * Ability to work a significant amount of hours throughout the day * Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg * Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $34.10 per hour Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $34.10 per hour Benefits: * Extended health care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 10 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: * Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * Utility Locating: 3 years (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationDelta, BC
