Patriot Forge of Paris supplies carbon, alloy and stainless steel forgings with heat treatment, machining and testing. Through continual upgrades, Patriot Forge of Paris has been able to enhance our manufacturing capabilities to better serve the needs of our ever evolving customer base. We are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join our team! The Production Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of production, including production planning and control, scheduling and process improvement, as well as employee relations Responsibilities: * Directs the various supervisors and the activities of the production teams; including all manufacturing processes and procedures, finishing and shipping/receiving. * Ensures and makes recommendations for continuous improvement using a hands-on approach to plant operations ie monitor machine utilization, day-to-day shop order processing, etc. * Ensures delivery commitments and reducing product and process non-conformances * Monitors production efficiency by identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes necessary to increase those efficiencies * Maintains appropriate staffing levels for production activities and manages human resources in the plant, including recommendations for hiring and terminations, performance and wage adjustments * Ensures well organized, coordinated work activities to maximize productivity and reduce waste * Ensures conformance to process specs and quality systems * Recognizes issues and addresses/reacts with a solution * Maintain the highest quality of internal/external customer relationships * Monitors KPI?s as directed * Ensures the highest level of staff training and leadership to support the business plans * Maintains the highest quality of customer relationships, internal and external. * Ensures standards for safety and housekeeping are at the highest level for all employees/visitors * Preforms other tasks assigned by management Experience/Skills/Education: * Relevant College Diploma and/or equivalent work-related experience required * 8 - 10 years industrial manufacturing experience, preferably in the steel making industry, with five years of direct supervisory experience * Ability to make decisions under pressure in regards to production and employees. * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and their application * Demonstrated performance as high-energy team player, with ability to manage people and administer results * Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to lead and manage human resources effectively * Ability to use team-building principles to constantly improve output and profitability * Excellent organizational skills and capability of managing multiple tasks simultaneously * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral * Computer literate and familiar with MS Office Should you possess the above credentials and are looking for an opportunity, we invite you to submit your resume to Patriot Forge Co. via the Indeed submission application.
