<p>Position: Adult Education Teacher<p>Location: Berens River Adult Learning Centre <p>Start Date: November 4, 2024<p>FTE: 1.00 FTE <p>Term of Employment: Term to January 31, 2025<p> Application Deadline: Open Until Filled The Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more! <p>The Berens River Adult Learning Centre serves about 20 adult learners each year. Berens River is a community of approximately 2,500 located on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, a 4 hour drive north of Winnipeg. This lakeside town offers community services such as a general store, Northern store and a community hall. The beautiful surrounding area is a recreational paradise offering a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking and canoeing. Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree<p> Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)<p> Experience teaching adults and knowledge of adult learning principles<p> An academic generalist who is familiar with literacy and numeracy instruction and is also proficient in both the current English Language Arts and Mathematics Grade 9-12 Manitoba curriculum<p> Experience working in a northern community <p> An individual who is outgoing, flexible and self-motivated<p> Ability to cultivate a positive and successful learning environment<p> A sound knowledge of and experience with school-based technology Applicants are required to submit the following: cover letter<p> current resume<p> list of three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicants performance in the applicants current or recent assignment <p>Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. <p>By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
