If there is a location that you are particularly interested in, please mention it in your cover letter. Pay, Hours & Perks: Rate of pay is $19.49 per hour plus vacation pay. EXCEL Group Leader positions are 5 days per week and require staff to be available 30 minutes prior to the end of the regular school day. While the start time of the Before/After school shift varies from site to site, most Before school shifts begin at 7:30am. Most After school shifts begin around 2pm. Potential for additional hours Children of EXCEL employees can attend the EXCEL program at no charge Various paid training opportunities available including High Five, First Aid/CPR, Fundamental Movement Skills, etc. Requirements: Must have a minimum of one year's experience working with elementary age students Knowledge of recreational programming Must possess strong communication skills Have ability to work as part of a team High School Completion Certificate or equivalent Asset: Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR Certification is considered an asset Please refer to the attached job description for further details. Employment with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education is contingent upon providing a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and a completed Child Abuse Registry Search prior to starting employment.
