Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Operate finishing machines to grind, drill, sand, bevel, decorate, wash or polish glass or glass products. Set up and adjust glass and glass product finishing machines. Visually inspect products for quality. Set up or adjust automatic glass feeding, flowing and forming machines. Weigh, measure and check production samples to assess conformance to specifications. Cut glass along marked outlines or around pattern using hand tools. Operate process control machinery to cut glass or assemble glass window units. Place pattern on or under glass for cutting. Smooth rough edges using belt sander or smoothing wheels. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
