Lima Lee Simovonian LLP is a specialty law firm that practices insurance related litigation with a focus on claims concerning the _Repair and Storage Liens Act _as well as subrogation. We are located in the heart of downtown Toronto minutes away from Union Station. We are a small boutique litigation firm looking to expand.

The successful candidate will be a licensed paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, detail orientated and someone with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.

Successful completion of Paralegal Studies program
Minimum of 2-5 years? experience in _RSLA/_insurance subrogation or a similar role
Experience in drafting, preparing, filing court documents
Ability to conduct legal research
Experience in reviewing, analyzing and summarizing file documents and pleadings
Familiarity in Clio, PClaw, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Outlook
Familiarity with the _Repair and Storage Liens Act, Consumer Protection Act and Insurance Act_
*Probationary Period*
Your employment will be subject to a three month (90) day probationary period. Your employment may be summarily terminated at any time during your probationary period without advanced written notice.
*Responsibilities*
Represent clients of Lima Lee Simovonian LLP in various legal proceedings before the Small Claims Court including but not limited to _Repair and Storage Liens Act_, Insurance Subrogation and other firm practices as assigned to you. Your duties will include appearing in proceedings before the Small Claims Court, research in applicable case law, summarizing file documents and providing recommendations to clients, conducting client phone calls and insured interviews, communicating with opposing parties, preparation of correspondence, reviewing reports and invoices, requesting documents from the Ministry of Transportation and Freedom of Information requests, preparation of written submissions and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
