*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled Student Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients. *Duties* - Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their prescription and style preferences - Assist the optician in taking accurate measurements for eyeglasses and contact lenses - Assist the optician in adjust and repair eyewear as needed - Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage - Maintain inventory of eyeglass frames, lenses, and contact lenses - Collaborate with the optometrist to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment *Qualifications* - Previous experience in an optical setting is preferred - Knowledge of optical sales, medical terminology, and retail sales - Familiarity with laboratory work related to eyewear production - Proficiency in using optical equipment and software such as Epic - Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service - Optical retail sales experience is a mandatory Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 ? 40 per week Benefits: * Flexible schedule Schedule: * Every Weekend * Monday to Friday Experience: * Retail sales: 1 year (required) * Optical experience: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-10-08- LocationMississauga, ON
