Position: Field Solutions Farm TechnicianLocation: Guelph  A day in the life… As a highly motivated Field Solutions Farm Technician you will be responsible for the organization and implementation of maintenance operations at the field solutions research farm. You will play an active role in the research program and support with data collection alongside a Field Solutions Manager while also taking the lead on the ongoing upkeep and required safety inspections of field equipment. You will be responsible for site and field maintenance including mowing, tillage, field preparation, pest control, and harvest. This position is a 8 - 10 month term with an anticipated start date in April 2025. What you bring to the table…Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)You ideally have experience working in the agriculture industry (including hands on farming experience)You have strong attention to detail and organizational skills which is critical for data collection and management.You can work independently as well as contributing to a dynamic team environment while delivering results in a timely manner.You can prioritize work (with minimal supervision), including the daily repair and maintenance work on equipment, data management, and other tasks as required.You recognize that manual labor is required in this position, including daily requirements for heavy lifting.You possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, and a willingness to obtain a Class G endorsement (AB, SK) or Class 3 (MB), or a full G license (ON). Our StoryBayer CropScience & Impres have partnered for the 2025 seasonal program.
