The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the upkeep of the property including guest rooms, pools, and facilities. A Maintenance Manager is an ambassador for the brand, providing leadership, direction, and guidance to the team, ensuring the property is properly maintained while managing costs.
*Job Duties and Responsibilities:*
Ensures efficient and effective performance of the maintenance department.
Manages, develops, and supports the maintenance team.
Communicates with other departments effectively.
Inspect public areas daily for any deficiencies.
Responds to customer or maintenance inquiries/requests in a pleasant, timely, and efficient manner.
Completes work order requests in an efficient manner.
Maintains all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition.
Provides maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas, and administrative offices.
Repairs may include (but are not limited to) minor plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door, and window repairs.
Respond to or perform duties of landscaping and snow removal.
Perform other duties as required in all areas of the property.
Monitors shared staff accommodation reviewing units for maintenance repairs.
Conducts performance reviews and performance management when required.
Maintains departmental budget controlling costs.
Conducts departmental meetings.
Participates in H&S meetings.
Maintain hot tubs daily ensuring proper water quality.
*Prerequisites:*
The ideal candidate is a seasoned and highly intelligent maintenance professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive firsthand experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights. Must have Alberta pool operator?s certification.
*Education:*
A post secondary education in hotel management is an asset. Must have excellent verbal, written and computer system skills.
*Experience:*
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Hotel/Resort maintenance. Preference given for luxury resort and international experience. Must have 1-2 years experience managing, cleaning, and maintaining hot tubs.
*Benefits:*
Salary $60-$70,000, plus a bonus program following the probationary period.
