Ready to join us on this exciting journey? Apply now and become a part of our amazing team! *Job Summary* We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of Northern Fitness by managing daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting the finance team with key accounting processes. The ideal candidate is organized, thorough, and capable of handling multiple tasks with efficiency. *Essential Functions * Record and process daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Process employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policy. Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and transactions in Odoo ERP. Support with vendor and customer account management, including data entry, updating records, and follow-up on outstanding balances. Assist with payroll preparation and processing as needed. Assist with WSIB Reporting Assist in monthly and year-end closings by reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy in financial data. Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Assist in preparing documentation for audits and financial reviews. Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Conduct audit projects to verify compliance with financial policies, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions. *Qualifications* *Must Haves:* Diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field. 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and self-motivated mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
