<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><ul></ul><p><strong>Skilled Lead Carpenter</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Looking to work in the Toronto core on exciting residential projects?</strong></li><li><strong>Ready to use your carpentry skills to build the highest quality homes?</strong></li><li><strong>Wanting to find a fun and professional place to make your mark, learn and grow?</strong></li></ul><p>We're looking for someone with a superb eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate, coordinate, and plan ahead to add to our team of dedicated & talented Carpenters working on High-end Residential Homes in Toronto.</p><p><strong>Must Haves:</strong></p><ul><li>Own vehicle and valid Ontario driver's license</li><li>Own tools and PPE</li><li>Must own a smart phone with a data plan (Time Clock and Daily Logs will be input from your phone through the Buildertrend App) *Project Management Software experience an asset</li><li>Live in the Toronto Area and be able to legally work in Ontario</li><li>Ability to read, understand, and explain Architectural, Mechanical and Structural Drawings and relay details accordingly in English</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>7+ Year Framing experience in the High-end Residential Renovation/Custom Home Building field</li><li>5+ Years Trim/Finish Carpentry experience</li><li>5+ Years Exterior Carpentry experience</li><li>Proven experience managing Carpenters and Sub-trades</li><li>Proven ability to work within Deadlines and Budgets</li><li>Strong Time Management, Decision Making, Delegating, Leadership and Problem Solving skills</li><li>Strong working knowledge of job site safety and Ontario building codes</li><li>High standard of integrity, craftsmanship and professionalism</li><li>Excellent People skills; sub-trades, suppliers, clients, neighbors and SevernWoods staff</li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding</li><li>Certified Red Seal Carpenter an asset, but not required</li><li>Pay rate dependent on Experience & Skill Level</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Reporting to the Site Supervisor and Project Manager, responsible for leading the on-site crew with delegation of tasks, time management and ensuring site safety</li><li>Utilizing the Architectural and Structural drawings to construct the house according to all specifications</li><li>Utilizing Buildertrend to accurately input Time Clock shifts, input Daily Logs & upload progress Photos</li><li>Be available during work hours to answer questions from anyone on site, employees, sub-trades, clients, refer to Project Manger when needed</li><li>Participating in weekly on site Goal Set Review Meetings to ensure that carpenters are exceeding production and budgetary goals</li><li>Follow company policies regarding work hours, time off, change orders, time clock, expenses, etc.</li><li>Maintain a safe work environment, reporting any unsafe conditions or property damage to Project Manager</li><li>Responsible for leading the carpentry work on site including framing, beam pockets, finish carpentry, back framing, window installation, bathroom accessories installation and misc items.</li><li>Complete understanding and facilitation of the following elements of the projects;<ul><li>Demolition</li><li>Steel installation</li><li>Foundation and footing forming and pouring</li><li>Framing carpentry & back framing</li><li>Finish carpentry & trim work</li><li>Insulation & drywall</li><li>Roofing, eaves, soffit and fascia</li><li>Priming, painting and staining</li><li>Ordering & installation of exterior siding, cedar, decking and fencing</li><li>Installation of stairs and railings</li><li>Installation of doors, door hardware, and bathroom accessories</li><li>Installation of tiles, flooring and other finishes</li><li>Installation of Cabinetry, Millwork and Stairs</li><li>Installation of windows and exterior door systems</li><li>Installation of interior and exterior insula- LocationNorth York, ON
