<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><ul></ul><p><strong>Skilled Residential Carpenter</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Looking to work in the city of Toronto on exciting projects?</strong></li><li><strong>Ready to take your carpentry skills to the next level?</strong></li><li><strong>Wanting to find a fun and professional place to learn and grow your skills?</strong></li></ul><p>We're looking for someone with a great eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate, produce, and plan ahead to add to our team of dedicated and talented Carpenters working on High-end Residential Homes in Toronto.</p><p><strong>Must Haves:</strong></p><ul><li>Own vehicle and valid Ontario driver's license</li><li>Own tools and PPE</li><li>Must own a smart phone with a data plan (Time Clock and Daily Logs will be input from your phone through the Buildertrend App) *Project Management Software experience an asset</li><li>Live in the Toronto Area and be able to legally work in Ontario</li><li>Ability to read, understand, and explain Architectural and Structural Drawings and relay details accordingly in English</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>3+ Year Framing experience in High-end Residential Renovation/Custom Home Building field</li><li>3+ Years Trim/Finish Carpentry experience</li><li>3+ Years Exterior Carpentry experience</li><li>Proven ability to work within deadlines and budgets</li><li>Strong Time Management and Problem Solving skills</li><li>Strong working knowledge of job site safety and Ontario building codes</li><li>High standard of integrity, client satisfaction, and professionalism</li><li>Excellent People skills; sub-trades, suppliers, clients, neighbors and SevernWoods staff</li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding</li><li>Pay rate dependent on Experience & Skill Level</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Reporting to the Lead Carpenter/Site Supervisor/Project Manager, ensuring the proper use of time, materials, & equipment for oneself and others on site</li><li>Utilizing the Architectural and Structural drawings to construct the house according to all specifications</li><li>Utilizing Buildertrend to accurately input Time Clock shifts correctly</li><li>Responsible for organizing and producing carpentry work on site including framing, beam pockets, finish carpentry, back framing, window installation, and site cleanliness</li><li>Have good understanding and knowledge of the following elements of the projects;<ul><li>Demolition</li><li>Steel installation</li><li>Temporary tree protection & site protection</li><li>Framing carpentry & back framing</li><li>Finished carpentry & trim work</li><li>Insulation & drywall</li><li>Roofing, eaves, soffits and fascia</li><li>Priming, painting and staining</li><li>Installation of exterior siding, cedar, decking and fencing</li><li>Installation of stairs and railings</li><li>Installation of doors, door hardware, & bathroom accessories</li><li>Installation of tiles, flooring and other finishes</li><li>Installation of cabinetry/millwork and stairs</li><li>Sub-Contracted elements such as Masonry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Automation, etc...</li></ul></li><li>Aiding with erection of scaffolding, installation of tarps or other site materials may be required based on site needs or preparation needed for incoming trades</li><li>Maintain a safe work environment, reporting any undocumented conditions or damage to Site Supervisor</li><li>Follow company policies regarding work hours, time off, change orders, time clock, expenses, etc.</li></ul><p><strong>Company Highlights:</strong></p><ul><li>Join our amazing team of talented people and work as a team on interesting projects!</li><li>Yearly Profit Sharing Program!</li><li>2 weeks Paid Vacation per year!</li><li>All-Expenses-Paid Yearly Company Retreat!</li><li>Employee of the Quarter awards & events!</li><li>Paid <span class="long-word">Training/Learning/Skill</span> D- LocationNorth York, ON
