Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors. Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Client focus. Organized. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Workplace information: Hybrid. Support for Indigenous people: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers . Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers . Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers .- LocationBrampton, ON
