Drury School for the Deaf, Secondary program, MiltonPosition is available for the 2024/2025 school year NOTE: PDSB is curr ently inviting applications from OCT qualified teachers who are interested and willing to ob t ain t he Deaf Specialist . L ess than A SL fluency required fo r the positio n may be supported with a n ASL/English Interprete r in the classroom while the successful can didate becomes fluent in ASL . What we are looking for: Qualifications:Valid Certificate of Registration and Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers;Deaf Specialist/Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (NOTE: PDSB will consi der teacher candidates wh o are currently engaged in completing the requirements for the spec i alist qualification and/or who express a willing ness to obtai n) ;Intermediate/Senior Division qualifications required;Senior Sciences, Math or English qualifications preferred;Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred. (NOTE: PDSB w ill consider teacher candidates who expre ss a w illingness to obtain ASL language fluency) .
