*Overview* We are Commercial General Contractor that operates throughout eastern Ontario. We are currently seeking a lead hand Carpenter for ongoing projects to oversee and lead a framing crew. Candidates should have atleast 5 years experience in a carpentry role to be considered as well as must demonstrate knowledge of the trade. *Duties* * Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers. * Ensure that all work is performed according efficiently and safe. * Oversee all tasks performed by crew labour including framing, finishing, windows and doors, siding etc * Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure quality standards are met. * Provide guidance and training to team members on proper techniques for carpentry * Manage project timelines, ensuring that all phases of construction are completed as scheduled. * Maintain an organized job site, including the proper use and storage of hand tools and equipment. * Communicate effectively with project managers, Site superintendents, clients, and subcontractors regarding project progress. *Skills* * Strong carpentry skills with experience in various construction methods. * Knowledgeable in construction painting processes and materials. * Capable maintenance person with expertise in caulking and minor repairs. * Familiarity with using hand tools safely and effectively. * Experience with siding installation and maintenance. * Understanding of concrete forming techniques for various applications. * Ability to assemble structures based on blueprints or project specifications.
