We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic Full Time _Auto Body Prepper & Refinish Technician _to join our team. We offer competitive wages and extended health, dental, and vision coverage. Overview: Auto body preppers are responsible for the restoration of anti-corrosion treatments, substrate identification, surface preparation, undercoat product mixing, and application. Auto body preppers are involved throughout the collision repair process. A key task in the auto body prepper branch involves applying undercoat products in the correct sequence, ensuring chemical compatibility, adhesion, and durability. Remove and install bolt-on components such as hoods, deck lids, fenders, trim, doors, glass, and interior components. Performing all aspects of Automotive Prep. *Primary duties include but not limited to:* · Performing all aspects of Automotive Prep · Removing layers of sub-coating · Preparing metal surfaces for painting by spot filling, sanding, and masking to be refinished and repaired · Mixing undercoats · Applying primers and primer surfaces · Cleaning and polishing painted surfaces · Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders · Ability to learn/stay current with the newest techniques and materials · Performing inner refinishing when required *Experience:* · Ticketed technician preferred however, qualified apprentices will also be considered · Class 5 Drivers License - ability to drive automatic and manual · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills · Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure and fast paced environment. Be self-governing, proactive, and responsible for accomplishing goals with limited supervision · Auto Body Paint: 2 years (preferred) · ITA Painter Ticket (preferred) *License/Certification:* * Red Seal license (preferred) * Drivers License (preferred) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Experience: * auto body repair: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Red Seal license (required) Work Location: In person- LocationVancouver, BC
