Started in 1992, Tickets has been the company of choice for tens of thousands of satisfied clients seeking to successfully fight their charges.</p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong><br />We are currently seeking a skilled Paralegal to manage our Landlord/Tenant and small claims files independently. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in Small Claims Court and Landlord/Tenant Board matters. This role requires a self-motivated individual capable of handling all related files autonomously. The Paralegal will also assist with Provincial Offences Act appearances as needed.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Independently manage all Landlord/Tenant and small claims files from initiation to resolution.</li><li>Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies.</li><li>Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support cases.</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients, opposing parties, and court officials.</li><li>Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.</li><li>Attend court hearings, mediations, and Provincial Offences Act appearances as required.</li><li>Maintain organized and accurate case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.</li><li>Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations affecting landlord/tenant and small claims matters.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to develop effective strategies for case resolution.</li><li>Administrative work as required (File Creation & Management)</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Must possess a Paralegal License and be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.</li><li>A successful candidate will need work between our Vaughan and Scarborough Offices as needed.</li><li>Preference will be given to candidates with a G class license and their own vehicle.</li><li>Minimum of [2] years of experience in a paralegal role, specifically in landlord/tenant, Small Claims Court, and POA matters</li><li>Fluency in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese (Preference will be given for applicants who speak both Mandarin and Cantonese).</li><li>Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.</li><li>Proficient in legal research tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Zoom.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary range between $50,000 - $100,000.</li><li>Travel Allowance</li><li>Professional Fees & Liability Insurance Coverage</li><li>Education Matching Dollars.</li><li>A collaborative and supportive work environment.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.</li><li>Generous vacation days, sick leave, and paid holidays.</li><li>Regular gatherings, retreats, or celebrations that foster camaraderie and team spirit.</li><li>A commitment to creating a diverse workplace.</li></ul></div></div>
