It is contributing to the recruitment process for this position as a human resources management partner for the Kativik Environmental Advisory Committee.</strong><br></em>---<br><br>The Kativik Environmental Advisory Committee (KEAC) is an advisory body to the governments responsible for environmental and social protection in the Nunavik region, located north of the 55th parallel on the territory covered by the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA). The KEAC is a tripartite committee whose members are appointed by the governments of Canada, Quebec, and the Kativik Regional Government, and is the preferred and official forum for responsible governments and the northern villages of Nunavik.</p><p>Visit our website for more information: https://keac-ccek.org/en/<br>---</p><p><strong>THE MANDATE</strong></p><p><strong>Ensure the general operation of the committee and management of its secretariat.</strong></p><p><strong> </strong>Under the direction of the Chairperson and members of the KEAC and in accordance with its mandate, <strong>The Executive Secretary </strong>is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Committee and the administrative management of its secretariat.</p><p>This function involves maintaining communication between KEAC members, the secretariat and external stakeholders, with the aim of promoting the implementation of the committee's mandate, five-year action plan and internal management policies.</p><p>In addition, this person will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with governments, communities and partners, thereby helping to promote the KEAC's mandate.</p><p>Find out more:</p><p><strong>Supporting the Committee's work</strong><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain constructive relationships with governments and partners of interest to influence, intervene and anticipate issues or other matters of relevance to the committee.</li><li>Promote the role and mandate of the KEAC, as well as its work and activities, to various levels of government, organizations related to its mandate and stakeholders in the territory covered by the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA).</li><li>Respond to requests for information from committee members, government representatives, regional entities and the public.</li><li>Provide analysis and strategic advice to KEAC members on environmental, social, strategic or economic issues that have a direct impact on Section 23 of the JBNQA and on the territory covered by the agreement.</li><li>Carry out studies and analyses in collaboration with environmental analysts.</li><li>Contribute to the development of the five-year action plan and participate in its implementation by following up on the plan, monitoring progress and maintaining communication with the Chairperson and members.</li><li>Assist the Chairperson in preparing, documenting and following up meetings.</li><li>Coordinate and participate in the work of the administrative subcommittee.</li><li>Represent the KEAC at workshops, conferences and working groups.</li><li>Support KEAC subcommittees as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>The secretariat?s operation</strong></p><ul><li>Organize and coordinate activities and provide relevant information for KEAC meetings, including official meetings such as hearings, parliamentary committees and consultations.</li><li>Ensure the smooth running of the secretariat (target setting, performance management, operational support and compliance with deadlines).</li><li>Administer and monitor the KEAC's finances and operating budget.</li><li>Responsible for producing various documents such as the KEAC annual report, letters, briefs, minutes of meetings, technical documents, etc.</li><li>Follow up on correspondence and recommendations from the KEAC.</li><li>Ensure the proper management of information produced, collected or used by the KEAC.</li><li>Ensure proper c
