*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our museum team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all building occupants. This position involves performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. *Duties* * Perform routine cleaning of all areas within the facility, including restrooms, offices, hallways, and gallery areas. * Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. * Maintain cleanliness in outdoor areas as needed, including entrances and walkways. * Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and reporting any maintenance issues to management. * Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained and replenished. * Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning duties to ensure a safe working environment. * Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests or spills as they arise. *Experience* * Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required. * Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work.
