Christie Gardens is looking for an experienced housekeeper who will thrive in our unique continuum for seniors. This position works closely with the resident services team and has daily interactions with those who call Christie Gardens home. It involves cleaning, sanitizing, using specialized equipment and helping with laundry. This position works in common areas as well as the independent living suites and requires weekend and holiday availability. *Who We Are: *We are a Christian not-for-profit senior living community experienced in delivering distinctive services within a continuum of living. We encourage diversity, inclusion, transparency, the sharing of new ideas, well-being and work-life balance. *Qualifications* * Previous experience working in housekeeping in the retirement, nursing home or hotel industry * Must be able to work weekdays as well as weekends and holidays during the day (there are no evening shifts) * Strong customer service skills * Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written. * Ability to cultivate a feeling of responsibility for the upkeep and daily cleanliness of the building *Responsibilities* * Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in your assigned areas * Clean, disinfect, all public areas of the facility focusing on high touch surfaces in resident rooms and common areas * Help wash residents personal laundries on a daily basis * Clean residents? suites as well as common rooms such as dining rooms, corridors, washrooms and stairwells * Vacuum / mop corridors and sanitize handrails * Check sitting areas/lounges daily and ensure seats are all straightened If you are looking for a place to utilize your excellent cleaning and time management skills, contribute to the holistic health and wellness of our elders, and belong to a highly valued staff team in a stable industry, consider applying for our Housekeeper position.
