Successful applicants will be eligible to accept jobs only at the school that they retired from when there is a fail-to-fill. Only retired WRDSB Secondary Teachers are eligible to apply to this posting.<p><p><p>Required Qualifications<p>In order to be eligible for this position, candidates must:<p><p> Have retired from a WRDSB Secondary School within the last five (5) years<p> Be in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. <p> Have Intermediate/Senior Qualifications. Candidates with Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate qualifications only are not eligible to apply. <p> Be available to begin occasional teaching immediately.<p><p>NOTE: Retired secondary teachers, that meet the qualification requirements, are encouraged to apply to the general Secondary Occasional Teaching posting through Apply to Education, if they would prefer to:<p><p> Be eligible to teach at any WRDSB secondary school.<p> Have access to the Easyconnect job board and to book OT jobs in advance, including LTO positions.<p><p>Application Information <p>Application packages must include:<p> <p><p> Resume, including OCT number.<p> Two (2) Administrator References from the school that the candidate retired from.<p> <p><p>There is no interview involved in this application process. An internal screening process will occur to determine successful applicants. Only successful applicants will be contacted and communication to applicants will be via email. <p>Applicants can apply through Apply to Education or can send an application package directly to Tina_Rowe@wrdsb.ca. <p><p>Offers of Employment<p>IIn the event that the WRDSB makes an offer of employment, please be advised that it is the practice of the Board that your employment will not start until the Board has received a Vulnerable Sector Police Check and the Board is satisfied that there are no criminal convictions which would preclude your employment. The Board does not assume any costs associated with obtaining the documentation.<p><p><p>IIt is the expectation of the Board that you know and adhere to the rules of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (TPP).
