We are seeking a *Customer Service Representative *to join our team. The ideal candidate provides front line support in handling all customer interactions. Responsible for answering the phones, dealing with customer inquiries, sourcing parts, and processing customer transactions. Responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties.
*Responsibilities & Duties:*
* Provide superior customer service to not only customers/clients but also to contractors, suppliers, and the public.
* Greet walk in customers and answer in coming phone calls to fulfill customer needs/expectations.
* Receive calls and inquiries from customers and direct them to appropriate staff
* Assist customer & techs in ordering standard parts such as filters. Create invoice as appropriate
* Advise on basic automotive issues with customer over the phone
* Book service appointments with customer
* Dispatch daily work orders to technicians accordingly
* Input new customer information into database, ensure database is kept up to date
* Document and file all work orders in an organized manner
* Prepare daily work files for technicians
* Give purchase orders
* Ensure that customer files are complete
* Process customer payments
* Ensure office and showroom are always kept tidy and professional
* Maintain general knowledge of products and services
* Perform other duties as assigned by manager
* Other duties as assigned.
*Qualification & Experience:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in business or related field is a plus.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in customer service software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
* Knowledge of automotive terminology and services is beneficial but can be learned on the job.
* Any customer service-related certifications are a plus (e.g., Customer Service Excellence Certification).
* Familiarity with automotive software systems (e.g., AutoServe1, Mitchell 1) is advantageous.
* 1-2 years of experience in customer service roles, preferably in a retail, automotive, or service industry.
* Experience in an automotive environment is highly desirable, but transferable skills from other service industries are also valuable.
* Knowledge of basic automotive repairs or products is a plus but can be developed on the job as an asset.
* Ability to handle difficult situations, resolve complaints, and provide solutions efficiently.
* Experience in handling customer records, scheduling appointments, and multitasking in a busy environment.
* Previous sales experience can be beneficial, as CSRs often provide product recommendations or explain services.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.50-$26.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
