Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Assess site and terrain before operations. Drive heavy equipment to perform a combination of felling, slashing, bucking, bunching and forwarding operations. Operate machines to transport trees from logging areas to landing or log loading sites in mountainous terrain. Assist other logging workers. Remove debris from logging site landing area. Type of harvesting: Saw log harvesting. Type of logging: Selective cutting. Equipment and machinery experience: Log processor. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Experience: Will train. Financial benefits: Group insurance benefits. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
