*Job Summary*
The Estate Planning Clerk will assist with estate planning for various KMB Law clients, including private business owners and high net worth individuals, as well as specialized planning for beneficiaries with disabilities..
*Responsibilities*
* Drafting and editing wills.
* Managing and/or assisting with the maintenance of the wills vault and addressing all requests pertaining to storing or retrieving wills and other estate planning documents.
* Attending client meetings to take notes or to obtain further instructions/ information on the file ? Witnessing and executing documents as required.
* Maintaining the wills tickler system.
* Maintaining the e-vault.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Requirements*
* Minimum of 5 years? experience working as an estate planning law clerk is required.
* Previous experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.
* Proficiency in legal research, document drafting and file management.
* Familiarity with legal practice group software including ProLaw is preferred.
* Flexibility to work with changing priorities.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work independently and take instruction effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* High level of professionalism and initiative.
* Accurate proofreading and editing skills to edit and format documents.
* Completion of a Law Clerk Diploma is preferred.
* Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client service.
