Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This position offers the opportunity to join public company and contribute to our growing business within the organization currently located at Etobicoke, Ontario. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to Controller: Assisting Controller in day to day tasks Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Prepare budgets and forecasts Demonstrate confidence in IFRS, Cashflows and MD&A Lead projects such as costing & ERP implementation Demonstrate knowledge in Manufacturing accounting Work as mentor for junior accountant(s) GST/HST Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST/HST returns in compliance with Canadian tax laws. Maintain organized records of all GST/HST transactions, invoices, and supporting documentation for CRA audit purposes. Monthly Closing: Prepare monthly G/L and be explainable to controller before posting Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. and ensure all Schedules are confirming with Trial Balance Be a quick leaner and able to work under pressure Ad Hoc Support: Provide support to the finance team as needed, participating in special projects and initiatives. Qualifications: IFRS knowledge Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus CPA enrolled is a must Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
