*Job Summary*
The Financial Analyst is responsible for a range of financial activities, including the preparation of regulatory financial returns, comprehensive accounting and taxation tasks, intricate financial analysis, and meticulous submissions to the Board of Directors and committees. This role entails rigorous internal compliance preparations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Regulatory Reporting *
* Support in investigation transactions to reconcile BS and PL
* Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly regulatory financial returns to OSFI, the Bank of Canada, and Statistics Canada
* Prepare monthly BCAR and act as a subject expert on OSFI Capital Adequacy Report (CAR)
* Follow up with regulatory representatives regarding inquiries about the Bank's filing requirements and financial variances
* Prepare liquidity monitoring ratios as requested
* Act as a backup for daily business risk monitoring report
* Prepare compliance reports including internal compliance, RAF, and regulatory requirements
* Maintain internal control requirements and assist with compliance reporting
* Prepare quarterly regulatory returns for submission to FSS
* Act as a backup for the monthly performance report and month-to-month profit variances
*Accounting*
* Participate in the preparation of drafts for the unaudited financial statements
* Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, data-book and other supporting schedules
* Assist external auditors on interim and annual audit
*Taxation*
* Support in income tax and indirect tax preparations
* Compile data inputs for Bank's Tax returns
* Report NR4 and PST on Canadian Tax returns
* Prepare Year-end income tax provision
*Other*
* Prepare detailed presentations for Bank's committee and BOD meetings
* Act as backup for closing G/L account of Head Office
* Ad Hoc inquiries
*Skills/Competencies:*
* Relevant experience in Finance or a related industry is preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field
* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office especially in Excel
* Great attention to detail with accuracy
* Excellent communication skills in English and Korean
* Enrollment in CPA/CFA is a plus
