*Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collections. This role requires strong communication skills and proficiency in accounting software to effectively support our financial operations. *Responsibilities* * Process and record incoming payments accurately in the accounting system. * Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for. * Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable, including invoices and payment histories. * Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. * Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations. * Utilize accounting software, such as Sage, for data entry and financial reporting. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role is preferred. * Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. * Proficient in accounting software; experience with Sage is a plus. * Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. * Excellent math skills for accurate financial calculations. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
