*Job Summary*
As an Account Manager, your primary mission is to achieve or exceed sales targets through strategic revenue generation. This will involve new business development, growing the existing customer base, and delivering comprehensive packaging and manufacturing solutions that lower customers? total packaging costs.
Your success will be measured by top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention, increased profitability, and expanding the company's presence within our target customer segments. You will embody The Company leveraging our proven programs, diverse product categories, and service capabilities to meet and exceed sales growth goals, setting a standard for sales excellence.
*Duties*
* *Achieve Sales Goals:* Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit (GP$) targets.
* *Drive Market Growth:* Engage with target, current, and prospective customers aligned with our ideal customer profile to boost market share and increase sales and GP$.
* *Lead Program Initiatives:* Drive success in key programs (PMP and Managed Services) to meet program-specific goals.
* *Offer Value-Driven Solutions:* Sell based on service excellence, offering problem-solving solutions that enhance customer processes and methods.
* *Implement Pricing Strategies:* Execute price increases promptly to support gross profit objectives while maximizing product and service profitability.
* *Maintain Sales Pipeline:* Develop and sustain a robust sales pipeline to consistently meet sales targets.
* *Build Strong Customer Relationships:* Foster trust, demonstrate reliability, and provide timely solutions with a sense of urgency.
* *Develop Strategic Account Plans:* Create and maintain strategic plans for top customers and prospects to ensure long-term growth and success.
* *Report and Analyze:* Provide timely reports, work plans, and territory analyses to management as needed.
* *Support Credit and Inventory Management:* Collaborate with the credit team to collect past-due invoices and monitor slow-moving inventory.
* *Stay Informed:* Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and leverage the company experts whenever needed.
* *Collaborate Internally:* Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with internal teams to support customer needs effectively.
*Requirements*
* *Education:* Bachelor?s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
* *Sales Experience:* Prior experience in a sales role is desirable.
* *Industry Knowledge:* Experience in distribution and/or manufacturing is a plus.
* *Interpersonal Skills:* Strong ability to build rapport quickly with customers and suppliers.
* *Sales Acumen:* Solid understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
* *Organizational Skills:* Excellent task prioritization and strong organizational abilities.
* *Initiative:* Proactive approach to personal and professional development.
* *Numerical Skills:* Basic arithmetic skills, including gross profit calculations.
* *Detail-Oriented:* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* *Technical Proficiency:* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* *Effective Communication:* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently over the phone, in person, and at customer or third-party sites.
