Responsibilities
Tasks

Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)

Teach interest or professional development courses

Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions

Research and design special events programs

Prepare design concepts, sketches or models for approval

Make made-to-measure garments according to customer and manufacturing specifications

Lay out master pattern on fabric and cut sample pattern

Cut fabric or layers of fabric to specifications

Design new or modify existing schedules using computer software or other methods
