Losses for retail theft have presented a major challenge for business in Vancouver. When it comes to retail theft, criminals who steal often and resell on the black market are known as "boosters", while those individuals who purchase stolen property are called "fences". Fences will often use a legitimate business, such as a convenience store, as a hub for repackaging and or reselling stolen goods. As a member of our Undercover Retail Crime Team, you will be working in teams of 2-4 patrolling select retail stores: apprehending shoplifters, following prolific offenders, gathering related intelligence on current crime activity. You and your team will be inserted into high traffic areas and will be expected to hit- LocationVancouver, BC
