*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently managing the shipping and receiving processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities* * Manage the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring accurate order fulfillment. * Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory levels and order status. * Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for loading and unloading shipments. * Perform order picking tasks with precision, ensuring that all items are correctly selected for shipment. * Maintain an organized warehouse distribution area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. * Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with accurate information regarding incoming and outgoing shipments. * Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve efficiency in shipping and receiving operations. * Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and report discrepancies as needed. * Assist in training new staff on shipping/receiving procedures and equipment operation. * Building crates for machines by using woodworking handtools. *Experience* * Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse distribution is preferred. * Familiarity with order picking processes and techniques. * Experience using warehouse management systems is a plus. * Proficient in operating forklifts; certification may be required based on company policy. * Strong understanding of inventory management practices, including load/unload procedures. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
