Shelley Machine & Marine is seeking a skilled & reliable Machinist to join our team! *Skills & Responsibilities* * Read, interpret and understand Tool prints & Drawings * Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations * Calculate and verify dimensions and tolerances of machined tools and parts using knowledge of mathematics and precision instruments such as digital calipers and micrometers * Plan and organize machining work in accordance with workflow * Manually set up Mills, Lathes with various work holding devices * Perform Daily maintenance on equipment and machinery * Maintain a safe and productive work environment *Qualifications* * 5+ Years of Manual Machine Experience * Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings * Knowledge of CNC Machining an asset but not required * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work in a team environment * Proficient in forklift & overhead crane use * Basic computer skills *Equipment and Machinery Experience* Boring Mill, Drill presses, Manual lathes, Vertical Lathe, Honing machines, Milling machines, Surface grinders etc. *Health benefits after probationary period* Dental plan Extended Health care plan Life Insurance Prescription Safety Glasses Work Term: Permanent Expected hours: 40 per week Work Language: English Schedule: * 8-hour Day shift Monday to Friday * 10-hour Afternoon shift Monday to Thursday * Overtime * Afternoon Shift Premiums *Competitive Wages from $25.00 ? $38.00 depending on experience* Apply by email or in person at 1300 Plank Rd.
